Tektro R559 dual-pivot brake pair with an exceptionally wide adjustment range

The Tektro R559 is a long-reach dual-pivot side-pull brake for bicycles where conventional road bike brakes do not reach far enough to the rim. With its adjustment range of 55 to 73 mm, it is suitable, among other things, for classic road bikes, touring and randonneur builds, as well as certain 700C to 650B conversions.

The dual-pivot design moves both brake arms in a controlled manner. The integrated quick-release mechanism makes it easier to insert and remove the wheel and creates additional clearance around the tire. The brake is designed for brake levers with short cable pull.

The offered set consists of one front and one rear brake. It is the recessed version, which is attached with recessed sleeve nuts. Before purchasing, it must be checked whether the frame and fork are designed for this modern mounting method.

The silver version has a classically styled finish and is particularly suitable for bicycles with silver components.
